Hard to imagine, but today is the first time I've given Puss an appetite stimulant in almost two weeks. She actually ate well the entire time. She still didn't eat well today, but that's probably because I slipped just a little pumpkin into her food. She absolutely refuses to eat when there's some foreign food in there, but she'll eat when her meds are mixed in. Go figure. I also tried to slip in a piece of raw chicken, but she's studiously ignoring it. I tried mixing a tiny bit of raw chicken with some baby food chicken, but she wouldn't touch that at all; I ended up giving it to the boys. I'd love to switch her to a raw diet, but I don't think it's going to happen. I still suspect she's going to become hyperthyroid, but right now I'm just thankful that she continues to do well. I'll be going away in about six weeks again — that's usually not a good time! |
