Cleo Stretches

Cleo relaxes in the office

Cleo ate quite well today, and seemed a little bit more like her old self. I don't think she'll ever be the way she was before she crashed — chasing twist ties, begging for people food — but she's certainly getting better.

I now realize that she eats best in the morning, so I usually try to give her a half can at her first feeding, with her Winstrol and Reglan mixed in.

I give her a little less at the next feeding, and mix in the kidney treat. For the next feeding, I mix in the Favor vitamin and the Nutramalt. After that, her appetite declines. Since she seems to have trouble digesting large amounts of food later at night, I don't push it. When she seems to be hungry, I give her a tiny bit of the Friskies mixed in with some chicken.

She hasn't curled up under the coffee table at all today (so far), which I take as a good sign. She spent a lot of time laying on my lap as I worked on the computer, or stretched out on the floor alongside me (even as I type). I think this is the first time I've really seen her stretch out since she came home from the Vet's.
