Does Weather Make a Difference?

Cleo wants our dinner!
Cleo's enjoys our dinner

I feel as though I'm forever taking one step forwards, and two steps back. I've given up on trying to give Cleo her meds in catfood — I just never know whether or not she'll actually eat the food.

So this morning I gave them to her in some chicken with a little mayonnaise. She ate it right up. But she didn't want the catfood mixed with chicken I gave her about an hour later.

Nor was she really interested when I gave her some more chicken mixed with meds later in the afternoon; she ate just a little bit of it. She did like the Whiska Lickins' treats that I brought home (good for tartar control; I'm giving them to Puss, too).

An hour or so after dinner, however, she all of the sudden decided that she wanted to finish off that chicken. She also really enjoyed a little bit of our dinner, breaded sole. I have decided on the perfect song for her. The Bangles' "If she knew what she wants":

If she knew what she wants, I'd be giving it to her.

She just seemed really unhappy all day long. I tried getting her interested in her favorite toy, but it just seemed to annoy her. It poured cats and dogs (excuse the pun) this morning, but then it cleared up into a sunny day, so I don't think it was the weather that effected her. I couldn't believe that the effects of the sub-q's seems to have worn off so quickly. Does she really need them every day? I have to admit that I don't want to do them again, even though I know I must and I will. I feel so unsure of myself, and although she's pretty good during, I still know that she doesn't like it. I hate the thought that I'm hurting her with my ineptitude.
