What a difference a day makes. Cleo yummed down her meds in tuna this morning, then lost all interest in food. I could tell she wasn't feeling well. She was laying under the coffee table, a favorite spot when she's not feeling well. I coaxed her out for some petting at some point, and then she went to lay on the window seat. Not long afterwards she threw up again. About half liquid and half food. She perked up almost immediately afterward, and ate a little dry food. We gave her more fluids tonight. We used a 20 x 1 needle, which did make the whole process go quicker. She doesn't like it, especially when I stick her, but she does tolerate it, for which I'm very grateful. I suspect that Puss wouldn't be nearly so tolerant, and in fact my greatest fear is that Puss will succumb to this too, almost as though it's contagious. And I know that the reality is there's a good chance she will, since she's a year older than Cleo. Cleo was ready for food immediately after her fluids. I just hope that she keeps down what she ate. |
