The last time I saw the internist, she gave me Cyproheptadine. It's an antihistamine, used as an appetite stimulant. She said it could cause her to be either very hyper or lethargic, and that if she reacts to it adversely, just stop it. The first time I tried it, she didn't really seem to react to it, but her appetite seemed even worse. I tried it again yesterday, and now it seems to be working. It doesn't really seem to effect her mood at all. She's still having terribly loose stools, but it's not diahrrea. She has been moving around more lately. She laid on the arm of the love seat, something I haven't seen her do in a long time, and she's jumped up on the recliner to knead my stomach several times. But when she sees something she really wants, she can still really move! She ran after Lloyd when he brought his hamburger into the kitchen today. And she got into the garbage twice once to get out a tuna can, the other time to get the foil from a chicken can. |
