Appetite Returns

What a difference a week can make! Cleo ate two cans of catfood today, and she's still hungry. At this rate, she's going to get fat again — maybe Buddhacat will make a reappearance.

Fluids continue to be harder, mainly because she tries to get away from me when I stick her. I've got it right on the first stick the last two days, and the flow has been great — the whole ordeal over in about two minutes. No more growling, at least.

She also decided that she didn't want her Pounce treats this evening. I went out and bought a couple of cases of 9 Lives Select Tuna (hopefully she'll continue to like it — last time I bought a case, she decided she no longer liked that catfood about halfway through).

She hasn't vomited, although there was some foreign body on the kitchen this morning. Almost looked like a loose stool. Sure would be nice if she would consistently use the litter box. If they both would consistently use the litter boxes.

I spoke too soon. Cleo threw up outside my door at about 10:30 pm tonight. So special. Of course, now I don't know whether or not I should call the vet. If she doesn't throw up until tomorrow night, then I'm screwed — it's not an emergency and she could potentially throw up every night until Monday, when I can reach a vet again.

I'm so tired of cleaning up after her. I know it's not her fault, and I'd do anything to see her not throw up. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm cleaning up almost every day. Or that my carpets are ruined.

I suppose I'm glad that I ordered the Nux Vomica after all.
