Cleo gets a Procrit Shot

What a day! Because I'm having the pet sitter over on Sunday to give Cleo fluids, I want to learn how to give Cleo her shots. So I run over to the pharmacy to pick up the meds at noon, come back home, gobble a little food, put Cleo in her carrier and head on out to the vet at 12:30.

Turns out the shot is very easy — if only fluids were that easy! You just pull up a tent as if you were giving fluids, stick in the needle so that you feel it break the skin, and depress the plunger. It's a tiny amount, too, so it doesn't take long and she barely notices it.

While we're at the vets, I pick up two cases of Select Care, and a bag of the same in dry food. I'm thinking that maybe Cleo won't throw up so much if she has food in her stomach at night. In fact, she hasn't thrown up yet this week.
