A visit to a new vet
Cleo decides she likes her carrier
Today I took both Cleo and Puss to a new vet. I wanted to get a baseline on Puss, in case she ever got sick.
Cleo's pretty used to going to the vet, but Puss hasn't been in eight years. She yowled the entire time.
Interestingly, the vet thought he heard a heart murmur on both of them — a grade one on Cleo, but a grade three on Puss. He took a lot of time with us, and seemed to know a lot about CRF.
He drew blood on both, and put Cleo on Flagyl (Metronidazole) for her suspected IBD. He also gave us several cans of IVD Select Care Modified (completely refundable if she wouldn't eat it) for Cleo to try. He even said he would write us a prescription for fluids and needles!
Cleo decided that the carrier was a cool place to hang out when we got home.
