Puss eats after fluids attempt

Puss has had me really worried this week. I hate the thought of bringing her back to the vet, but she's absolutely not eating.
I took Cleo into the internist yesterday, and had her PCV and Creatinine checked again. Good news there: Crea stays steady at 2.5 and her PCV is 34.
I briefly discussed Puss with the internist. She said of course she couldn't make a diagnosis without seeing the cat, but it sounded like I ought to try giving her some fluids. I was afraid that would be the suggestion.
Last night we tried, although we were totally unsuccessful. I suspected she would be difficult, and she was. She didn't try to bite, but just squirmed so much I couldn't get the needle properly seated.
The funny thing is that she ate a little after the attempt.
