Normally Puss's stools are pretty firm, but all of the sudden they're soft. As the day progresses, it's full-blown diarrhea. Poor Puss! We're giving her daily fluids. She's begun to eat a little canned food again. I'm concerned about the diarrhea, though, so I call the vet. She figures the same thing as I did: the antibotics are causing the diarrhea. She's had Clavamox before with no problems. So we compound it into an ear gel, and start her on that this evening. The vet also has the pharmacy compound the Pepcid into a liquid. She loathes being pilled. You'll think she's swallowed the pill, then five minutes later she'll spit it out. |
