Back to Normal?
Above Puss shares a rare moment of peace with Lloyd. She laid on his lap for quite some time; very unusual.
Puss is eating very well; I'm only giving her the Cypro once or twice a week. We got a postal scale recently, and it seems she's lost a little weight. I'm beginning to get a little concerned that maybe she actually is hyper-thyroid, although other than the weight loss she displays no other symptoms.
In general she seems fine, but she acts oddly occasionally. Like she'll meow outside the bathroom door for food, but when I go in she turns and walks away. But if I follow her and pet her for a while, she'll come back and eat; this drives me nuts!
Because she was eating so poorly for a while, I stopped all the Chinese herbs. We're going in for some acupuncture next week, so I'll discuss it with the holistic vet then. I also have to get her back to her allo vet to get some more blood drawn for another T4 test.
Of course, on top of all this we leave for a vacation (already postponed from September) in a week. She always seems to get sick before we go away. But right now she seems good, knock on wood. She's eating much better, and I'm attributing that to the Phosphorus binders.
