How
long will my cat live?

This varies from cat to cat. Some cats are diagnosed with CRF at a very young age, even three years old. Younger cats can live for a long, long time with care I've even heard of a young cat living ten years after diagnosis! Older cats probably don't have as long, but they can still live quite some time with lots of love and TLC. Two years is not uncommon, and more is not unheard of, either. Don't lose hope you'll probably get a lot more cuddles and purring from your furry friend yet. But don't beat yourself up if your cat doesn't respond to treatment.
I know it's natural to fell guilty, but the truth is that some cats don't
do well, even with somewhat low numbers. All you can do is try your best,
and pray. |
