Clicker training to the rescue again! Gizmo has a breakthrough with paw to hand. Gizmo is still reliably touching my hand, and I begin at the beginning with Simba. More hurdle work — we take it to the next level. Another breakthrough for Gizmo — he'll now touch my hand when I hold it up vertically in front of him. Simba is still working on the beginnings of paw to hand. I start to work on getting Gizmo and Simba to jump through the hoop together. Simba begins to get "gimme five"; Gizmo gets "high fives". Simba does three perfect "gimme five"; Gizmo "high fives" me when I'm standing and around the house. Gizmo gives me a perfect sitting pretty (if you ignore the fact he's holding onto the target stick). Gizmo does three sitting pretty's without holding onto the target, and Simba gives me gimme five without any prompting.
