We are incorporating stay work into our waiting for meals. Sometimes I can get them to stay for two minutes — provided, of course, they get enough treats. But this is one of those things that needs intensive work!

I worked with Gizmo on "sitting pretty" again. The first couple of times, he tried to grab the target stick again, but I lowered it before he could. Then he got it! He did three sitting pretty's in a row; I was so excited I scared him with my enthusiasm!

Then it was Simba's turn. He offered me his paw without any prompting at all, and did five times in a row! We're on a roll today.
