Brothers: 1 Year, 9 Months

Well, they almost still both fit in their first cat bed!

The boys have grown more apart as they got older, but they still do snuggle up together. Group grooming is an after-meal activity.

People who've never lived with a cat just assume that all cats are alike. Nothing could be further from the truth! Here we have two littermates, and they're so very different:

• Simba loves food, and will happily eat both his and Gizmo's portions; Gizmo is a grazer

• Simba is a very outgoing cat, and very little phases him, while Gizmo sometimes seems afraid of his own shadow

• Simba is very stubborn, but Gizmo is easily intimidated

• Simba is a bit of a couch potato, and Gizmo loves to play (or is that lives to play?)

• Simba loves veggies, while Gizmo can't be bothered

• Simba is a bit spastic, while Gizmo is a frigteningly good hunter

• Simba only occasionally sleeps with us, while it's the rare night that Gizmo doesn't

Simba is now back to his sleeping-with-us-occasionally-mode. He still stakes out the bed sometimes, but he actually left Gizmo alone the last time he came to bed with us.
