I got this top and front loading carrier because Gizmo is so scared at the vet that he won't come out of the carrier. I thought it would be easier if I could lift him out of the carrier. The boys took to their new carrier right away. I did some training, making sure they each went into the correct carrier, since the top loading one isn't strong enough for both of them. That actually went much better than I expected; I didn't have much trouble getting Simba into their regular carrier and Gizmo into the new carrier. It made little difference to Gizmo at the vet, though. He still clung onto the bottom of the carrier like a leech. Next time I think it will be simpler to dismantle the carrier, rather than try to pry him out of it. Or get a new one that comes apart easily.  |
