Contest Rules

This contest is designed for the enjoyment of our community. It has become popular, with many new submissions each week. Most participants seem to be having fun with it and playing the game in an honest and straight forward way. There have been some exceptions which has prompted additional definition of the rules:

• There are no prizes and it costs nothing to participate.

• Your submissions must be pictures of "feline" pets. As much as we may want to show off our dogs, snakes, and other pets, this page is limited to cats only.

• One image per week per cat maximum. Let's give everyone a chance to play and not load up the contest with multiple images of the same cat. If you do want to submit a second image of your "cutie" please wait at least a week and be sure to submit a picture that is significantly different than your first submission.

• Please note the image size limitation of 400 pixels wide for all submissions. Submitting very large images wastes bandwidth, costs us money, and can be costly to those without high speed internet connections who must wait for your very large image to download. If you do not know how this is done and still want to submit a photo please submit your picture to me by email.

• This contest is on the honor system. There are no substantial prizes and participants are expected to behave like adults when voting. It is perfectly acceptable for you to vote on your own cat and to give it a "10". However, to intentionally give other cat photos "1's" in order to manipulate the scoring is not kosher.

• Some people have discovered how to get around the single vote per user limitations in our software.We ask that even if you "can" place multiple votes please restrain yourselves and keep this fair and fun for all. One vote per pet per household per day, please.

• Each month, at a random day of the month that will change from month to month, the top ten cats who have at least fifty votes and have been on the site at least two weeks will be removed from the contest, and placed on a winner's gallery page.

• If your cat is a winner, you cannot resubmit photos to this contest for one year. Check the winner's gallery to see if you've "won".

Please note that violation of any of the above may result in your photo being deleted and/or your account being banned from future participation at the discretion of the Webmaster.
