Gizmo: 8 Months |
|
Gizmo hasn't yet lost his kittenish ways or looks. He's still smaller than Simba at 8 ½ pounds, but he still looks like a kitten. Or maybe it's just his attitude. He's always ready to play. For a long time we kept their toys on top of an entertainment center. Gizmo would run into the room, and gaze longingly at the toy stash. Recently we moved them to a drawer in the entertainment center. Now he knows they're in the drawer, and the minute I open it he's hanging off the drawer, eager to see what will emerge.
I love crafts, but have sacrificed them for now, knowing the kittens could never resist the siren song of moving yarn. But with friends and family having babies, it was time. Much to my surprise, Gizmo and Simba mainly left me alone while I was crocheting. They would stare intently at the yarn, but when I said "No!" sternly they remained where they were. Gizmo, however, came next to me at the couch once. He stared intently at the yarn, as usual, and the next thing I knew he'd launched himself and had curled up on top of the afghan with a totally blissed-out expression on his face. Good thing both our friends and family recipients of the afghans already have cats! |
