A Tale of Two Kittens

Gizmo: 1 Year

  On the afghan

Isn't it funny how each cat develops its own little sleeping spots? It's hard to tell, but Gizmo is laying on top of a quilt rack. They were never allowed here, and most of the time they obeyed that rule — until I put the navy blue afghan on top of it. Now Gizmo has decided that this is the perfect place to snooze. I often come home from being out for a few hours to find him here, happy as a clam.

On the chair

Another odd Gizmo-spot. Once again, it's hard to see, but he's laying on top of my chair again. He's the only cat who does this. One of these days we'll get a good picture of this!

Catching balls

People say that cats calm down at about two years. I don't know, there's been a distinct slow-down in my energizer bunny already. He still loves to play, but it's got to be the right toy. If I pick a toy he doesn't particularly like anymore, he won't play.

They don't like to jump for balls as much as they used to, either, but obviously they still get into once in a while.

Gizmo is fascinated by the fax machine

I'm not sure what it is about cats and printers. Gizmo is absolutely fascinated with the fax machine. Puss used to curl up in the paper box, way back in the days of dot matrix printers.
