I bought this bed before my parents' visit. I wanted to put it on the shelves in our room; it would give Gizmo a place to hide, I thought. The bed can convert to be used three different way; in one way it's sort of a cave, with a hole they can enter. But they loved it this way, as a regular bed, immediately. Unfortunately, it was too wide to fit on the shelves in our bedroom. 
This was actually a rather interesting experiment. I had been leaving my pajamas on my side of the bed for the boys to sleep on. But we want them to get closer to Daddy. So I started to leave out a sweatshirt from Daddy, first on my side of the bed, then slowly moving it over to Daddy's side of the bed. At first Simba resisted, sleeping on my side even if the sweatshirt wasn't there. But eventually he decided that he enjoyed snoozing on the sweatshirt more than the naked blanket. Now he chooses to lay on Daddy's side of the bed, whether or not there's clothing left there. Unfortunately, when both boys choose to sleep with us, they curl up with me, except on rare occasions. 
This is the evil Simba look. He's very good at it. Gizmo really doesn't have an evil look.  |
